Nine countries confirm C/W joint boxing training in Pakistan

Karachi: Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) proudly announced nine countries has confirmed participation in commonwealth boxing joint training session in Pakistan could be start in this month.

PBF was invite many countries for one and half month long joint training camp in connection of commonwealth games and now nine countries has accepted and send us by name entries and some also give confirmation about his arriving schedule.

General Secretary of Pakistan Boxing Federation Mohammad Akram Khan express it’s a best opportunities for our boxers they will got good preparation before the two most important coming games, he said we could arrange second big event in this year it will be build a soft image on front of world and also in the Pakistan’s sports history

Akram Khan said we now wait approval from Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) for holding this Joint training session program yet we will met tomorrow (Sunday) with the Director General of PSB Syed Amir Hamza Gilani and we have good hopes about approval and financial assistance for this event.

Malaysia, Central Republic of Africa, Ghana, Kenya, Srilanka, Mauritius, Rwanda, Nigeria and Uganda sent us confirmation.

Mauritius Boxing Association (MBA) has inform they are interested in three week training in Pakistan before the commonwealth games in New Delhi.

Amateur Boxing Association of Srilankan (ABA) also accepted the invitation and they inform us training till 15 September in Pakistan.

Rwanda Amateur Boxing Association write us they want training in Pakistan for the good preparation of C/W games would be held in New Delhi from 3rd to 14 October this year.

Nigeria Boxing Federation has sent 18 members contingent included 12 boxers and six officials they will train in Pakistan before games.

Uganda Amateur Boxing Federation (UABF) also has sent us 11 members of his squad including 10 boxers along with one coach UABF write us training occasion in Pakistan most important for our boxers because we are missed the opportunity for taking part in commonwealth boxing championship which was be held at New Delhi in March this year.

PSB approve grant for ill boxer Dildar

Karachi: Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has approved two hundred thousand rupees financial assistant for Ex Pakistani international boxer Dildar Ahmed who live in Pakistan’s city Faisalabad with family with out any source of income.

Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) was recommended to PSB for financial assistance and we are grateful to PSB for approve two lac rupees for Dildar Ahmed, said PBF chief Doda Khan Bhutto and vice president Iqbal Hussain.

Dildar Ahmed won many gold medals in international arena like south Asian games, Asian games, Asian Boxing championship and many other international and national events during his carrier around 1987 to 1993 he was the part of Pakistan Army boxing team in national circuit in super heavy weight category.

Dildar Ahmed carrier: won gold medal in inter services boxing championship, KESC all Pakistan tournament and won the silver medal in Asian boxing championship which was be held in Kuwait in 1987,
Won bronze medal in Saigham boxing championship in Egypt in 1988, silver medal in int’l boxing competition in Islamabad, Gold medal in south Asian games Islamabad and bronze medal in Asian boxing championship in China in 1989.

Gold medal in first KESC int’l boxing tournament, gold medal in national games, gold medal in Asian Boxing championship in 1990. gold medal in inter services tournament at Quetta, Gold medal in national games, Gold medal in national ranking tournament and he also won a gold medal in south Asian games in Sri Lanka 1991.
Dildar Ahmed won gold in second KESC cup Int’l boxing in Karachi, Silver medal in 13th Asian games Thailand, Gold in inter services boxing, bronze medal in Saigham int’l Boxing in Denmark and gold medal in National camp at Lahore in 1992. He also won Gold medal in third KESC cup int’l Boxing and gold medal in inter services boxing in 1993.

Dildar Ahmed will receive two lac rupees chaque from Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani in a ceremony likely will be held at PM house Islamabad in second week of the month of Pakistan’s Independence Day.
